Goals
Immediate
Raise Support:
My wife is a German citizen and can live in Iceland indefinitely. However, she can only visit the United States for 90 days using a B-2 visa (i.e., visitor’s visa).
As a result, we are relegated to making 90-day trips to the U.S. to raise support until her visa application can be evaluated.
We are now at 35% of our current financial need.
Continue Serving:
My wife and I are already living in Iceland and actively serving in ministry – “Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people” (Psalm 96:3).
Now, God is leading me to continue the work I’ve already been doing while gradually taking on the full responsibilities of the pastorate.
Current Ministry:
Below are some of the titles that represent the work we do in Iceland:
1) Assistant Pastor
2) Youth Pastor
3) Sunday School Teacher
4) Janitor, Secretary, Treasurer, etc.
Long-Term
Future Vision:
Missionaries Patrick and Victoria are looking to the future. They would like to see the ministry in Iceland continue reaching people for Christ in the decades to come.
Through much prayer, God revealed my calling to carry on the ministry established by my parents: “…other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.” (John 4:38).
God has called us to maintain and expand the ministry started by my parents.
Added Responsibilities:
With the calling to lead First Baptist Church comes a growing scope of responsibilities: managing the business aspects, maintaining the facilities (cleaning, construction, etc.), preaching and teaching, and overseeing outreach efforts (e.g., bus ministry, visitation, canvassing, etc.).
Over time, these responsibilities will continue to increase as I grow into the full weight of the ministry.
Ministry Growth:
Our church is small and tender; it is still very much a church plant. We are few. Nonetheless, God revealed my calling to nurture and cultivate our little flock – “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof…” (1 Pet. 5:2).
God has called me to disciple, protect, and grow the small group of believers at our church in Iceland. Ultimately, it would be wonderful if our church could serve as a springboard for planting more churches and ministries in Iceland.
