Missionary Victoria Weimer:
– Mrs. Weimer has been serving as a missionary in Iceland since 1999. Before embarking on her mission work, she began her ministry journey by serving in her home church. Mrs. Weimer later earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Education before moving to Iceland to continue her ministry.
Together with Patrick Weimer, they established what is now known as the First Baptist Church of Njarðvík, Iceland. She kindly provided me with the following reference:
Minister Frank Newsome:
– Frank Newsome is currently the youth pastor at Kerwin Baptist Church. He is highly respected by his peers and beloved by his students. Frank has a genuine heart for teenagers and is committed to impacting the next generation for Christ.
As a summer intern, it was a privilege to work alongside Frank in 2022. Although I am not a teenager, he made a lasting impact on my life. At my request, he kindly wrote the following heartfelt reference:
Former Missionary Michelle Phagan:
– Mrs. Michelle served alongside Patrick and Victoria Weimer as a dedicated missionary for more than a decade. She made a lasting impact on the lives of Icelandic children, including mine.
On a personal level, Mrs. Michelle was my Sunday school teacher and a faithful friend to my parents; in fact, under her guidance, I taught my very first lesson. My family’s love and admiration for Mrs. Michelle runs deep. At my request, she graciously penned the following letter.

Postmaster Soffía Pétursdóttir:
– Before her retirement, Soffía served as the manager of our local post office in Keflavík. Over her thirty-five years of dedicated service, she earned the respect of her hardworking colleagues and consistently showed exceptional kindness to my family.
As a teenager, I had the privilege of working with Soffía for nearly five years. Several years after her retirement, I requested a reference letter from her, which she kindly provided in Icelandic. The original Icelandic letter, along with its translation, is included in the following document:
Professor Lisa Joyner:
– Professor Lisa Joyner has faithfully dedicated over two decades to both Christian and public education, with a particular passion for special education. In recent years, she has continued her service as a professor at Veritas Baptist College.
I had the honor of taking several of Mrs. Joyner’s classes and gleaning from her vast stock of wisdom. Whether it related to classroom management, lesson plans, or general guidance, Mrs. Joyner constantly challenged me to grow as an educator and a Christian. She was generous enough to write the following reference letter on my behalf:
Principal Brooke Shea:
– Principal Shea directs South Sumter Middle School (SSMS). Normally, Christian education majors take student teaching in Christian schools. However, Principal. Shea made an exception and allowed me take my student teaching at SSMS, a public school.
Principal Shea is highly respected by the teachers she leads, and I can personally attest to her kindness and support during my time as a substitute and student teacher. In addition to helping me complete my degrees, Principal Shea demonstrated her generosity further by writing the following reference letter:
